vmGuardian can restore a VM to the same host or migrate it to a new ESXi host.
You simply create a backup image and choose where you want to restore it.

If you are using VMware, then you need vmGuardian™ to ensure the best protection for your virtual machines. Built on ActiveImage Protector’s proprietary imaging technology, vmGuardian installs as a virtual appliance offering agentless backup of VMs, a web-browser based management interface and advanced features including Smart Sector Technology and Inline Data Deduplication and Compression (IDDC).

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials – Web page Content

At Link-IT, we can help your organisation achieve the Cyber Essentials certification.

Achieving Cyber Essentials certification allows an organisation to demonstrate to its clients, stakeholders and others that they have put essential cyber security measures in place to minimise the risk they face from cybercriminals.

As an IASME-accredited certification body, Link-IT can help your organisation achieve Cyber Essentials.

Five key control areas

Cyber Essentials is fast becoming a certification that Government bodies are looking out for; many Government contracts have a Cyber Essentials requirement, depending on the sensitivity of the data being handled.

Five areas that Cyber Essentials focus on are:

  • Access Control - Are users only able to access what they should be able to?
  • Secure Configuration - Are your systems configured in a way that makes them secure?
  • Firewalls and Internet Gateways - Are they set up correctly to effectively protect your network from unwanted intrusion?
  • Malware Protection - Is your antivirus adequate and up-to-date, are you scanning regularly?
  • Patch Management - Are you using the latest versions of software and have patches been applied within the last 14 days?

Why should my organisation get Cyber Essentials?

Five reasons to achieve Cyber Essentials:

  • Demonstrates that your organisation has adequate measures in place and takes cyber security seriously
  • Enables you to bid for Government contracts with a mandatory Cyber Essentials requirement
  • Ensures your organisation approaches online working in a safe, risk-minimising way
  • Provides a solid foundation from which you can build towards achieving other information assurance certifications such as Cyber Essentials Plus, IASME and ISO 27001:2013
  • A cost-effective method of achieving information assurance certification

How can Link-IT help?

Link-IT is an IASME-accredited certification body, meaning we can assess your organisation for the IASME Standard and Cyber Essentials. Having attained Cyber Essentials and the IASME Gold standard ourselves, we understand the importance of implementing good cyber security practices and the benefits of being able to demonstrate this to our clients.

We are on hand at every stage to assist in the planning, implementing and maintaining of cyber security controls. We will provide detailed feedback regarding any aspect of your cyber security that we feel could leave your company at risk. Forging a long-term relationship to help you achieve compliance in the future.

Support

On-Site IT Support

With our on-site IT Support package one of our IT engineers will travel to your premises to perform any IT support related issues that you may have. Our IT support engineers can be available by arranging an appointment which fits around you, or you may need IT Support on a more regular basis. If you take out an annual IT support contract with us then we will visit you on a regular basis, building a close working relationship with you and achieving the full potential of your IT in a friendly and professional way.

Our Link IT consultancy service provides professional and expert advise to ensure you save time and money. Our consultancy staff will work with you to plan, maintain and support your IT related hardware and software. All work carried out on-site will be planned in advance to ensure minimal or no downtime.

On-site IT support tasks vary from configuration of switches or firewalls, installing or maintaining client PC’s or servers or simply maintaining and looking after your existing IT infrastructure.

If you would like one of our team to visit you or you would simply like to discuss future projects then please contact us via phone or email.

Remote Support

This is the best option if your IT support issue is relatively easy to fix; we can connect to your PC or server within minutes and both our IT engineer and the end user simultaneously view the same screen thus the problem and solution are easily viewed by both parties.

The remote support option is particularly efficient because in most cases there is no need to travel to your premises saving both time and money.

We have all had the problem where a PC does not respond or something is happening which you can’t explain. Remote support enables us to quickly see the problem and because we both see the same screen it makes the accompanying telephone conversation much easier - you don’t have to spend time explaining a problem that you may not fully understand or even know how to describe.

Even if you don’t have an annual contract with us you can still benefit, simply contact us and we can remotely gain access straight away.

How does it Work?

It is simply a small piece of software that you download from our site and it provides secure encrypted access. You simply repeat back to us the unique code that is given to you and the password and we can then gain access, as soon as we have fixed the problem we will tell you and the session will be terminated – we cannot then regain access without repeating the process i.e. your system remains secure.

If you have an issue and you think remote support may be required why not contact us giving us a brief description of the problem and one of our support engineers will get back to you straight away.

Testimonials

"Another great job"

"I would recommend John Pepper without hesitation to anybody wanting IT Support backed by real customer care. Working remotely on my wife's computer he was able to diagnose the problem and resolve it. Having done so he then periodically checked that all was in order and made any necessary adjustments. As he knew that the problem was causing my wife great concern he took enormous trouble over something that was a very un-interesting job for him. Very many thanks john for another great job."Jeremy Glyn, www.pathfindersabc.co.uk, Pathfinders

"A big thank you"

"As a busy web design and development company we need to have good IT support along with a robust infrastructure to ensure we don't have any downtime whatsoever. So this letter is to say a big thank you for the professional service you provided to us when we moved offices earlier this year. You were prompt at time keeping - you turned up when you said you would. You completed all the checks to the computer network at the new offices and completed the work required prior to the transfer over. Once the transfer took place you was in full contact and on-hand throughout the whole process. This has given me full confidence to refer you to anyone else I know who needs IT help and especially if they are moving offices and need their IT fully functioning without downtime. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending you and I look forward to working with you in the future." Barbara Payne, DDA Web Design, http://www.ddawebdesign.com

"Thank you so much again"

"Dear John, This letter is to say a massive thank you for the way you 'saved the day' with my data! My Microsoft Outlook had completely frozen. I was unable to send or receive emails, But even worse that that I could not access my old emails or any data within my Outlook. I unsuccessfully tried to running the PST Repair Tool several times. While it said there was 'no errors' it was just not working., it was completely broken and I had lost everything!. John came to the rescue. By using his expert technical knowledge and data-recovery techniques he retrieved all my Outlook data. What a relief!. Within a short while of john having the hard drive from my machine, he had the whole machine back up and running, I could see my old emails again. I would have no hesitation in recommending John from Link IT to anyone who has any IT problems. He's the cleverest IT Guy I know! Thank you so much again."Barbara Payne, http://www.ddawebdesign.com, DDA Web Design

"Done with the greatest patience and good humour"

"John pepper of Link-IT went well beyond the call of duty when answering a request to sort out a problem with my wife's computer. Having diagnosed the problem he explained our options and was meticulous in the care he took to resolve the issues. He then not only returned the computer to us (well after office hours) but stayed to check that all was well and took extra trouble to simplify the on-going operation so that similar problems could be avoided in the future. Everything was done with the greatest patience and good humour. My wife and I were not only grateful but hugely impressed."Jeremy Glyn, www.pathfindersabc.co.uk, Pathfinders

"Continues to exceed our expectations"

"At DDA Web design, having a reliable partner for IT support is essential as our business depends on the efficient running of our IT and communication systems. With an exceptional level of customer service, a detailed knowledge and understanding of IT systems, software and system integration, John Pepper and Link IT was the obvious choice. Most recently John has recovered vital email data from a failed hard drive, resolved IP conflicts following a recent service upgrade and helped remove a virus from a laptop. John continues to exceed our expectations in dealing with our IT issues efficiently and effectively with the minimum of disruption to our business and its operations. I have no hesitation in recommending John’s services to friends, colleagues and customers alike."Bob French, http://www.ddawebdesign.com/, DDA Web Design
