Pandect Case Study
Pandect was formed in 1964, manufacturing electro-mechanical components for use in the aeronautical industry, where they quickly developed a reputation for providing high quality turnkey solutions for major British aerospace companies.
Pandect was operating with an unsatisfactory mix of PCs located in various offices. A lot of their IT infrastructure was out dated and under-performing so a revamp was crucial for successful expansion. Pandect also required Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Link IT advised the Pandect board how to make changes to their unstructured unprotected network to achieve a stable safe and secure environment. A high availability option was discussed to ensure minimal downtime and business continuity. A budget was put in place for upgrading the existing hardware.
By upgrading existing hardware and installing a high-end virtual environment (to ensure speedy disaster recovery) the company was able to demonstrate a robust IT system and passed Cyber Essentials and then proceeded to become Cyber Essentials Plus certified.
“A few years back it became apparent our IT arrangements were lagging behind the times and were cyber insecure. All our IT functions were sub-contracted to Link-IT and in a short space of time they have revamped our computer network, improved our cyber security and brought Pandect into the 21st Century. Excellent support is provided by Link-IT for day-to-day IT issues, with a quick response to new requirements and good solutions proposed to meet evolving IT requirements.”
